Camp # 1 - 6.8 Km.
Departure from the city of Santa Marta at 8:00 a.m. to take the transport that will take you in an approximate time of 2 hours and 30 minutes to the Village of Machete. Start a foot expedition through the roads of this spectacular Sierra, the largest in Colombia and one of the most beautiful in the world (approximate time: 3.5 hours). Take a light lunch next to the Mamey River, you can also take a bath to refresh and then continue. In the afternoon, we will be arriving at camp #1 there you will settle in hammocks with awning. Later, dinner and rest.
Camp # 2 - 9.7 Km.
Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. to continue the journey through the Sierra (approximately 4.5 hours) during our tour you will visit the indigenous villages of the Koguis and Mutanyis. Then, take a swim in the rivers of the Sierra and reach Camp #2, where you will lodge in hammocks with awning. Lunch at Camp #2. Enjoy Buritaca River. Afterwards, talk about the Tayrona Culture. Dinner and rest.
Mamo Rumualdo - 2.5 Km.
Breakfast at 6:30 a.m. Continue hiking for 2 hours approximately to visit the indigenous community of Koskuguenga. Lunch dinner at MAMO RUMUALDO’s.
Lost City - 4 Km.
mysterious, mystical and millenary places, where you will ascend its 1,183 steps until reaching the Lost City. Tour around the Lost City, visit to the terraces, roads and aqueduct structures. Return to the camp of MAMO RUMUALDO. Lunch. Dinner and rest.
Back to Camp #1.
At 7:00 am, after breakfast, start the journey back to camp #2 where you will have lunch, then continue with what’s left of the trail (7 hours approximately) to arrive at camp #1 at around 4:30 p.m. Dinner and rest.
Breakfast. Departure to the town of Machete, swim at Mamey River. Afterwards, transfer back to the city of Santa Marta.
