DAY 2
Bogotá
The morning, visit to the city. Assistance by the guide to start a panoramic tour through the historic area of Bogotá, passing through Colon Theatre, San Carlos Palace, where the Chancellery operates, the Presidential Palace of Nariño, Bolivar Square, the Capitol, the Town hall and the Primada Cathedral. Visit the gold museum and the Botero museum; later ascend by cable car to Monserrate, from where you can have an excellent view of the Colombian capital. Typical lunch at the restaurant “Santa Clara”, located on the hill of Monserrate.
In the afternoon, tour to the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá. Departure from the hotel to the Municipality of Zipa, located 49 km north of Bogotá. On your way, you can see some interesting sightings such as Bogotá’s Sabana and the Bridge of the Commoners. The Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá was built 190 meters deep in a mine and is considered the first wonder of Colombia. Inside you can visit the Stations of the Cross, the Dome, and the Ramp, the Choir, the Balconies, the Narthex Complex and the large naves of the Cathedral. At the end, a panoramic tour to the town of Zipaquirá will be given. Return to Bogotá In. Includes tickets to the Cathedral.

DAY 3
Bogotá, Coffee Region
Transfer out- Bogotá.
Transfer in- Coffee Region. 2 night accommodation at the selected hotel.
COFFEE-MAKING PROCESS
AT SAN ALBERTO HACIENDA : Transfer to Café San Alberto in Quindío department. In this tour you will be able to appreciate the beautiful coffee cultural landscape, declared by the UNESCO as a world heritage site. Here, you will go through an interactive coffee process that consists of a walk through the plantation, the cherry or wet processing and the awakening of the senses in the laboratory. (Approximate duration: 6 hours). Typical lunch at “Pollo a la Carreta” restaurant.

DAY 4
Coffee Region
FULL DAY TOUR
COCORA VALLEY AND SALENTO:
Assistance at the hotel by the guide. Transfer to the Cocora Valley where you can appreciate the beautiful landscape of the region. Once you arrive in the Valley, you will receive a welcome cocktail (Canelazo) and get assistance by a Cocora specialized eco-guide who will introduce you to the natural reserve. Walk to the cloud forest where you will see the biodiversity of fauna and flora and take the ecological trail of the highest wax palm in the world and also Colombia’s national tree. Here you will perform the ritual of the Quindío wax palm; this consists of knowing the history of how the aborigines worshiped the palm, followed by a palm tree sowing. In the Valley you can do optional activities that are not included, such as ecological horseback riding and hiking to exclusive and very special places of the valley. Lunch included. Transfer to the typical town of Salento where you will have a walking tour visiting its colonial streets, artisan workshops and the Cocora viewpoint.

DAY 5
Coffee Region, Cartagena
Transfer Out - Coffee Region. Transfer In - Cartagena.
CITY TOUR:Assistance in the hotel by the guide to start the panoramic tour through the residential quarters of Bocagrande, Castillo Grande and the republican neighborhood of Manga where you can see the big mansions of the old times. Continue with a visit to the Popa Convent, where you can have a wonderful view of the city. Visit San Felipe de Barajas Fortress, a Spanish military building where you’ll have a walking tour through its underground galleries and tunnels. Transfer to the Walled City to do a walk by the main squares, streets and churches, including the entrance to the Inquisition Palace. (Approximate duration: 4 hours).
